Glossary of Virtual Assistant Terminology

App

A short phrase for application which is a computer program created to execute a group of activities, coordinated functions, or tasks for the benefit of the user. Examples are social media apps and mobile apps.

Computer

An electronic device that accept, process, produce, and store data.

Contract

A voluntary legal agreement between parties, the client and virtual assistant, that contains the duties and rights of both parties which is written, read and signed.

Gadgets

Small tools powered by electronic principles with specific functions.

Internet

The net, web or internet is a system that connects billions of devices which are local and global networks using internet protocol suite ITP.

Social Media

A variety of computer and mobile online applications used by people to interact with family, friends relatives, classmates, colleagues, customers and clients for social and business purposes.

Tools

Computer programs readily accessible on your computer or mobile device such as internet browsers, calculator, NotePad, Paint, etcetera.

Virtual Assistant

An independent solo-preneur or self-employed contractor remotely working from home who provides technical, creative and administrative support services to start-up and established businessess.

W

Workplace

A physical location inside your home where your workstation is situated.

Workstation

A set of computer, mobile devices, seat, desk, and some accessories inside a workplace at your home.
